WHAT EVERY VISITOR WANTS TO KNOW

We want you to know what to expect when you visit CCOJ so it will be as pleasant an experience as possible. With that in mind, we have assembled this list of things that our guests might want to know before attending Community Church of Joy.

What should I wear?

Please, wear whatever makes you comfortable. You will not see very many ties, since most of our people prefer to dress casually. We know God is much more concerned with a person’s heart than their clothes.

What kind of people will be there?

We have a real cross-section of people from Sammamish and the surrounding communities whose most common characteristic is that they love Jesus and other people. They are just like you and your neighbors.

How do I get there?

You will find a map, directions and a photo of our building on the How to Find Us page.

When are the services?

We have a family-oriented Worship Celebration on Sundays at 10:45 AM (during the summer, we meet at 10:00 AM). You will find a schedule of activities with times and locations on this web site on the Calendar page.

Where do I go when I get there?

When you enter our building from the parking lot, you will be in a fellowship area and should be warmly greeted. The worship area is to the right. Restrooms are down the hall to the left. Anyone will be happy to answer any of your questions.

What about my kids?

We love kids. Except for the very youngest (see below), they will sit with you during the worship service. There are parts of the service especially for them and there are children's bulletins and activity bags available on the back table. During the school year, we have Sunday School classes for every age group at 9:30 AM and Kid's Club every Tuesday evening.

What about my small children?

We have a well equipped nursery, staffed by caring parents like yourself to care for your children while you worship.

What else should I know?

You can read more about who we are and what we believe elsewhere on this web site.
